St Margarets was a small School in Queensbury Mews, small is no understatement as ther were only six classrooms, two for the infants/reception and four for the juniors, there were six teachers under Mr Mason the Headmaster,St Margarets seemed to be able to get the best out of the worst pupils and had a very good academic record, all of the Teachers were highly respected as this was the era were discipline was a byword,Mr Mason had that rare magic of being very strict but also very fair and could teach from the top level right down to infants.
